Fayette Fire Department
We meet the first Monday of the month at 7PM @ the Fayette Fire Station. For our Fire Auxiliary Meetings, we meet every fourth Thursday of the month at 7PM @ the Fayette Fire Station.

Burn Permits
Monday thru Friday NO burning until 5pm.
Saturday and Sunday 9am until Midnight.
- To obtain a burn permit please click here to visit website
- You must be at least 18 years of age to obtain an Open Burning Permit.
- It is illegal to burn without a permit in the state of Maine.
- You must print and sign your permit.
- A hard copy of the permit must be in hand at all times during open burning.
- If fire department receives any type of complaint about the burning, we are obligated to investigate and may potentially extinguish fire.
- All fires must be extinguished on the permitted date and by the end time listed on the permit.
- You may not start a fire with any type of accelerant.
- Common materials that you cannot burn may include but not limited to are: paper, cardboard, plastics, chemicals, rubber, tires, pressure treated or finished wood, painted wood, rubbish or garbage, demolition debris such as insulation, styrofoam, metal, sheetrock, asphalt shingles, or wire insulation.
- Burning prohibited materials or in violation of other permit restrictions may result in extinguishment of your fire, ineligibility for future permits and/or a summons to appear in court.

Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office
