Short-Term Rental License Requirements Begins January 1

If you plan to rent a residential property for less than 30 days at a time during 2025, you are required to obtain a license from the town, follow some basic regulations, and share good neighbor standard expectations with your guests prior to the rental start date. There is NO LICENSE FEE and the process is simple if you have a septic system design on file. However, if you have an older septic system with no recorded design, you will need to hire a qualified inspector to check your system and file the report with your license application.
